We are actively working to preserve the physical artifacts as well as the stories and memories of life in one of America's concentration camps located at Poston, Arizona. It was named "Poston" or the "Colorado River Relocation Center", located on the Colorado River Indian Reservation during World War II. The Poston Community Alliance is a 501(c)(3)non-profit group.

Lots of hard work to move the barracks. My mother Freddy Bardon Green, teacher at Poston Camp 3 used to write in her letters to hermom about the futility of sweeping the floor. My german grandmother told her to get a mop, bucket and water and wash the floors instead..in her letter back to my mom in November of 1943.

This is only 1/2 of a barrack. In some cases, the vaacant barracks were split up after they were sold.
